In this publication the author tried to prove the existence of the steady spatially periodic solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible flow even with high Mach numbers. This proof was established from the existence of such a solution for a corresponding linearized problem, followed by a first point argument. This reviewer, however, feels that for any compressible flow problem, the energy equation must be considered. The author did not include this into his consideration. Instead, he simply assumed that the pressure is a unique function of the density, which is not true in reality. Hopefully, this drastic simplification will not invalidate the author's conclusion.
