The authors show that Theorem 2 in the paper of \textit{P. Y. Lee} and \textit{T. S. Chew} [Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 34, 133-140 (1986; Zbl 0604.26008)] is equivalent to the dominated convergence theorem. A generalized dominated convergence theorem for the Perron integral is proved.
