The controlled convergence theorem was proved by \textit{P. Y. Lee} and \textit{T. S. Chew} [Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 17, 557-564 (1985; Zbl 0553.26002); see also the same Bulletin 19, 60-62 (1987; Zbl 0608.26007)]. In this paper there is a proof basing on the descriptive characterization of the Henstock integral.
