A CAD package for solving the squaring down problem (Q1174660)

A computer package is described which calculates pre- and post- compensators for a given strictly proper, time invariant, linear multivariable system with exactly known parameters such that the compensated system is square (equal number of inputs and outputs) and invertible. The location of any additional invariant zeros is assigned by the user (in the left half plane) and the location of any required compensator poles is a subset of these additional zero locations. Package limits and sensitivity are not described.
