The approximation of functions \(f(x,y)\) of two variables which are periodic in \(x\) is investigated by ``semi-trigonometric'' polynomials \(T_ n(x,y)\) which are functions that are trigonometric polynomials of degree at most \(n\) in \(x\) for almost every \(y\). The definitions and the formulation of the results are very complicated.
