The paper contains further justifications for two operators for sum and conjunction of fuzzy subsets. Using these operations they provide a description for a fuzzy closure operator similar to that introduced by \textit{R. Lowen} [ibid. 7, 165-189 (1982; Zbl 0487.54008)]. In the rest of the paper, the authors study the Čech fuzzy closure operator and the closure operator for fuzzy neighbourhood spaces. Also, they provide a method to obtain quotients of fuzzy neighbourhood spaces.
