This article deals with \textit{H. K. Pathak}'s fixed point theorem [Bull. Calcutta Math. Soc. 80, No, 3, 183-188 (1988; Zbl 0673.47041)]. The author presents some extension of this theorem and a new proof without using the continuity of the operator.
