Two classes of non-desarguesian flag transitive affine planes of odd order are constructed. Firstly a class of planes of order \(q^ n\) (\(q\) an odd prime power, \(n\geq 3\), \(q^ n\not\equiv 1\pmod 4\)), secondly a class of planes of order \(q^ n\) (\(q\) an odd prime power, \(n\geq 2\), \(q^ n\equiv 1\pmod 4\)) with the planes of both classes containing \(GF(q)\) in their kernels.
