Let \(R\) be a Cohen-Macaulay local ring of positive characteristic. Suppose that \(I^*=I\), for some ideal \(I\) which is generated by a system of parameters for \(R\), where \(^*\) represents tight closure. It is shown that every parameter ideal in every localization of \(R\) is also tightly closed.
