In ibid. 124, 73-81 (1987; Zbl 0615.49003)], \textit{J. Parida} and \textit{A. Sen} introduced a generalized variational-like inequality problem GVIP for point-to-set mappings, as well as a generalized complementarity problem GCP. The author establishes complementarity theorems for GVIP under certain conditions on the maps involved and then applies these results to deduce existence results for GCP. He concludes with a study of necessary conditions when GCP has no solution.
