Convolutional codes for channels with fading (Q1177491)

For a channel with correlated Rayleigh fadings an asymptotic error probability bound and error probability bounds for concrete codes using continuous channel output decoding are obtained. It is shown that the asymptotic bound can be expressed in terms of the spectral radius of some positive integral operator. The bounds for concrete codes are obtained using a modified encoder-state diagram.
