The author derives some basic formulae connecting points, lines and angles in \(E^ 3\) with their images on the surface of a sphere using central projection. As an example of their use, he shows how the distance between two points can be calculated from measurements of the angular distances between the images of the points on spherical-surface photographs taken from six positions. In his abstract he states that ``we anticipate that the study of subjectivity geometry will influence, or will be associated with, the study of physiology of the visual system, applied optics etc., and will be useful in surveying, pilotage and imitative biology, etc.''.
