The author introduces some theorems about the size of the class number of an algebraic number field. The theorems complete the earlier results of \textit{A. Czogala} [Math. Z. 176, 247-253 (1981; Zbl 0432.12003)] and \textit{T. Ono} [Proc. Japan Acad., Ser. A 64, 78-79 (1988; Zbl 0662.12004)].
