The author gives the foundations of the algebraic theory of nonassociative Boolean rings (i.e. of idempotent not necessarily associative rings). A nonassociative ring without nonzero divisors is called a domain. The author proves that every nonassociative Boolean domain can be embedded into a Boolean quasifield. Special subvarieties of the variety of nonassociative Boolean rings are considered: nonassociative Boolean rings in which squaring is an automorphism, medial rings.
