The author describes the regular subalgebras of Kac-Moody algebras \(g(A)\) with a symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrix \(A\) over \(\mathbb C\). These subalgebras are defined as a natural infinite dimensional analogue of regular semisimple subalgebras of a finite dimensional complex semisimple Lie algebra in the sense of Dynkin.
