The authors present a recurrence formula to compute the coefficients of an inverse of a power series of two variables. The above coefficients arise in geodesy where the inverse function to the Gauss-Krüger mapping is needed. The case of two variables can be easily generalized to the case of a power series of \(n\) variables.
