The author develops the theory of order standard basis: The definition of order standard basis of a set of truncated polynomials and an algorithm to find it are given. As its application to the elementary catastrophe theory, he gives an algorithm for calculating the Boardman symbols of function-germs. Also a relation between the theory of ordered standard basis and the theory of Gröbner basis is discussed.
