A measure of axial symmetry for triangles \(T\) in \(E_ 2\) is studied, with the measure of axiality defined by \[ f(T)=\max\{[T^*]/[T]: T^*\text{ is axial and } T^*\subset T\}, \] where \([T]\) and \([T^*]\) denote the area of the triangle and of the axially symmetric oval, respectively.
