The main concern of this study consists of generalising expressions applicable to the exponential integral of positive integer order to that of general real order. Associated moments connected with simple powers of the variable of integration are discussed along with the so-called polynomial moments in which such standard polynomials as that of Laguerre are also treated. In conclusion, a short list is given consisting of definite and indefinite integrals involving the exponential integral of general real order.
