For a simply-connected bounded domain \(G\) in the complex domain let \(\Sigma(G)\) denote the space of all conformal automorphisms of \(G\) under view of uniform convergence. In this paper a domain \(G\) is constructed for which \(\Sigma(G)\) can be obtained as a non locally-compact space. This answers a question of \textit{D. Gaier} [Math. Z. 198, 227-257 (1984; Zbl 0526.30009)].
