Connectivity functions \(g:I^ 2\to I\;(I=[0,1])\) are investigated. Moreover, it is proved that an extendable function \(f:I\to I\) has the strong Cantor intermediate value property. The paper contains interesting examples which show the importance of the hypotheses of the theorems.
