The author derives a new set of sufficient conditions for an \(n\times n\) complex matrix to be non-singular. Based on it, a new sufficient condition for a square matrix to have all eigenvalues with positive real parts are obtained. As an application a new characterization of the class of all non-singular \(M\)-matrices is given.
