Let \(\{\mu_ i\}_{i\in I}\) with \(\mu_ i=\displaystyle\prod_{j\geq 1}\kern-1.13em*\kern.7em\mu_{ij}\) for all \(i\in I\) be a family of laws on \(R\), arising from the triangular array \(\{X_{ij}\}\) for which the condition of uniform asymptotic negligibility (infinite smallness) is not necessarily verified. The main result consists in a necessary and sufficient condition concerning the weak convergence to a Poisson law.
