The authors have constructed a theoretical model of turbulent stratified flow in a flat horizontal channel giving allowance to coherent structures that arise in it. The equations for the ordered part and the turbulent part of the flow have been separated. The flow is divided into wall regions and a core. The turbulence in the wall regions is described using Monin-Obukhov scaling theory. Dependence of the coefficient of surface friction and heat transfer coefficient on the value of stratification parameter as well as the amplitude characteristics of the ordered motion has been depicted graphically.
