The product of biradial compact spaces (Q1191867)

Biradial spaces are precisely biquotient images of linearly ordered spaces [reviewer, Publ. Inst. Math., Nouv. Sér. 39(53), 173-177 (1986; Zbl 0612.54038)]. The paper investigates some properties of biradial spaces and their relations with some other classes of spaces, in particular with quasi-monolithic and \(\alpha\)-monolithic spaces (introduced in this paper). The following results are proved: (1) For every Hausdorff space \(X\), \(| X| \leq 2^{c(X)}\). (2) Every compact biradial space is almost radial; moreover, the product of countably many compact biradial spaces is almost radial. (3) The product of a compact biradial space and a compact pseudo-radial space is pseudo- radial.
