The authors consider a navigation problem for missile systems endowed with a wind stabilizing seeker. A model of the system is given by a set of four state stochastic equations and the state variables are perfectly measurable. The class of admissible strategies is defined by a set of measurable bounded state functions ensuring a finite expected value of the exit time from the operation zone to a target set. The goal is to reach the target set before leaving the operation zone of the missile. A bang-bang guidance law is compared with two other strategies which however cannot be implemented by the seeker namely an optimal guidance law and a saturated proportional navigation law. The results of numerical studies may be used by a designer to evaluate the performance of the missible under the bang-bang control law.
