The concepts of fuzzy field extension, linear disjointness for fuzzy field extensions, and the composite of two subfields are introduced. The concepts of pure inseparability and separability for fuzzy-field extensions are also introduced. Basic properties of these ideas are developed. The results parallel those for the crisp situation.
