For noncommutative rational series in several variables over a commutative ring, the author extends two results known in the case of fields: (i) it is decidable whether two given series \(S\) and \(T\) are equal (the ring must be given by generators and relations); (ii) if a language and its complement are both supports of some series, then they are rational.
