Lower bounds on the width of Stark resonances in one dimension are obtained. The results should be compared with the results of \textit{E. M. Harrell} [Commun. Math. Phys. 86, 221-225 (1982; Zbl 0507.34024)]. The proof is based on the spectral deformation method.
