The authors are concerned with boundary value problems for the two- dimensional Helmholtz equation. These problems are mathematical models for wedge diffraction problems and are reduced to equivalent integral equations of Wiener-Hopf-Hankel type. Associated with the study of solvability properties of the integral equations is a Riemann-Hilbert problem.
