Representations up to a phase (ray representations) of the Poincaré group in \(1+1\)-dimensional space-time are constructed. The phase factor introduces a new parameter \(d\) whose physical interpretation remains open. Free quantum fields and 2-point functions are explicitly given. But these representations do not fulfil the physical spectrum condition.
