In transforming hyperbolic boundary value problems into parabolic ones, in the linear case, the integral operator \(F^*(t)=2^{-1}(\pi t^ 3)^{-1/2} \int_ 0^ \infty ue^{-u^ 2/4t} F(u)du\) plays an important role. The authors find an expression for the inverse operator.
