The authors consider a class of plane closed \(C^ 1\)-curves which contains the class of rosettes and ovals and is suitable for their proof techniques. They study generalizations of antipodal and arc- antipodal sets, and establish greatest lower bounds for the number of these sets. For related improvements of the Blaschke-Süss theorem see papers of \textit{W. Cieślak} and \textit{W. Mozgawa} [Geom. Dedicata 24, 221-228 (1987; Zbl 0629.53004)] and the reviewer [Geom. Dedicata 29, No. 3, 317- 326 (1989; Zbl 0641.53002)].
