The wake of electrically conducting power-law non-Newtonian fluid in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field is studied. The author has found a subclass of self-similar solutions to the boundary layer equations generalized on the case under study. A number of new interesting results are obtained. In particular, it is shown that velocity profiles in the wake may be self-similar only for pseudoplastic fluids and not for dilatant fluids.
