A generalization of the classical theory of analytic semigroups of linear operators is presented. Using the theory, in Hölder classes of functions, the authors establish solvability and uniqueness of solution to a general initial-boundary value problem for a higher order linear parabolic equation with time-depending coefficients and non-homogeneous data.
