Algorithms based on combined domain decomposition and multigrid methods are developed to solve a large system of sparse linear equations that arises in reservoir simulation. These algorithms are proved to be comparable to widely used sequential solvers for test problems. It is also indicated that the use of line corrections and line Jacobi and block incomplete domain decomposition is essential for good convergence of the method. Illustration is also made as test examples.
