Some geometric aspects of image processing (Q1200972)

Some relations between geometric convexity, other topics of geometry, and image processing are discussed. The author describes some classic results and various concepts of convexity, such as abstract convexity spaces and their relations to topological and metric spaces. The number problems of \(d\)-convex sets in finite metric spaces is considered. Some results about isometric and convexity invariant embeddings of finite metric spaces are discussed. Finally, an interesting related open problem is given.
