The authors show that the rational boundary Gregory (RBG) patch representation of a surface with rational boundary curves of denominator of degree \(r\) can be made \(C'\) smooth by surface patches of degree \(2r- 1\). They give the general procedure and explicit formulas for \(r=2\).
