The differential equation \(L_ m[y](t)=f[y](t)\), \(t\geq 0\), \(m\geq 2\) is studied where \(L_ m\) is a linear differential operator with constant coefficients, \(f\) is a possibly discontinuous operator with relay hysteresis. Sufficient conditions are given under which there exists a nontrivial periodic solution.
