A finite element parallel algorithm with iterative form is derived from the block Jacobi iterative method and the weighted residual method. An analysis of computation shows that this algorithm can effectively increase the speed of operation and save computational time. It is a parallel analyzing algorithm of the finite element method for large-scale structures. The program of this algorithm is realized on the ELXSI-6400 parallel computer.
