The author approximates ``arbitrary'' Jordan curves by polygons and makes use of the Schwarz-Christoffel formula. Then approximate conformal mappings which map the upper half-plane or the unit disk onto the interior or exterior of the above curves are obtained. He establishes some FORTRAN programs for calculations and gives some numerical examples.
