Continuing his earlier work in Rev. Roum. Math. Pures Appl. 31, 563-575 (1986; Zbl 0607.14027), the author classifies multiple Cohen-Macaulay scheme structures of multiplicity \(\leq 4\) on a codimension 2 linear subspace of the projective space over an algebraically closed field. This is done by describing first a general procedure for obtaining multiple structures of multiplicity \(\leq 4\) on a codimension \(\geq 2\) smooth subscheme of a smooth scheme.
