We consider two ill-posed problems arising from attempts to solve the Navier-Stokes equations backward in time. Using a logarithmic convexity argument and appropriately constraining solutions we establish continuous dependence on the ``final'' data and on the ``final'' time geometry for the standard boundary value problem.
