The author presents linear field equations for massless spinor fields of arbitrary spin number on flat spacetimes, or rather a gauge field theory akin to Maxwell's electromagnetism. He also discusses the difficulties to formulate higher spin field equations on curved spacetimes and a solution of this problem proposed by Buchdahl and Wünsch.
