The solvability of nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equations is studied by means of the Schauder and Banach fixed point principles. Moreover, the tools connected with the theory of monotone and coercive operators are also used. Assumptions involving monotonicity and Lipschitz conditions and assumptions on differentiability of some terms of the considered equations are added.
