We prove that any smooth convex body of \(E^ d\), \(d\geq 2\) can be illuminated by \(\left\lfloor{d-\lceil {d\over\ell+1}\rceil\over\ell}\right\rfloor+1\) affine subspaces of dimension \(\ell\), \(1\leq \ell\leq d-1\).
