The authors prove two existence results concerning differential equations of the form \({d\over dt}(Bu)+Au=f\) in \((0,T)\), \(u(0)=u_ 0\), in the case in which (1) \(A\) and \(B\) are nonlinear monotone operators acting in a Banach space \(X\) and (2) \(A\) is a semilinear and \(B\) a linear operator in a Hilbert space. Several relevant examples are also analyzed.
