The author's main claim is that what we now call Bose-Einstein statistics actually had been introduced by Boltzmann in 1877 in the context of establishing the entropy-probability relationship. The evolution of Bose- Einstein statistics from Boltzman to Bose and Einstein is analyzed in order to prove the thesis.
