Amplifying his work in the book Galois theory (1984; Zbl 0532.12001), the author sets about reconstructing the proofs of two results of Galois. That is, he develops proofs along the lines that he believes Galois had in mind. In modern terms, one result (Lemma III) deals with a primitive element of a splitting field of a polynomial, while the other (Proposition II) deals with Galois groups. The author also includes a couple of corrections to material in his book.
