The author presents a detailed proof of Corollary I of Propositions XI- XIII of Newton's Principia (Section III of Book I) that every motion subject to an inverse-square force must traverse a conic with focus at the force center. In his proof the author examines and follows the two- sentence argument appended by Newton to Corollary I.
